BIO:
I work for Allenmore Hospital, Tacoma Washington,
part of Multicare Health Systems. I am the evening
charge nurse in the PACU. I have worked in the PACU
as staff and management for the past 20 years. I have
been a RN for 26 years. I became involved with NPANA
because I have enjoyed the benefits of the organization
over the years in education and networking and I felt
that it was time to give back. I am very happy with
this decision as I am learning a lot and look forward
to continuing NPANA's mission.

CONTACT INFORMATION:

BIO:
I graduated from Linfield-Good Samaritan School of
Nursing with a BSN a little over 20 years ago. I have
worked at Providence Saint Vincent Hospital and Medical
Center for most of that time. I started as a Med-Surg
floor nurse. I have been in my present job for over
10 years. Currently I work as a Staff Nurse/ Relief
Charge Nurse in our Short Stay unit as a Pre-op and
Post-op Phase 2 nurse. We have 53 beds in our unit
that feed into over 25 ORs. I have been an ASPAN and
NPANA member for around 8 years. I have also been
certified as a CAPA nurse for a little over that amount
of time. A little piece of trivia, I was one of the
first on our unit to become certified. I have been
a member of NPANA-GPD (Greater Portland District)
helping to put on conferences and encouraging nurses
to join ASPAN and become certified for several years.
I am looking forward to my years on the NPANA Board.
I feel that I learn something new about the organization
or myself everyday. Looking forward to meeting you
all, my fellow NPANA members.

BIO:
Having spent the first seven years of my nursing career
in critical care, ER and dialysis, I needed a change
in hours after the birth of my first child. This led
me to the only interesting job available, Recovery
Room. And there I have been for twenty-one years.
Presently, I am a perioperative coordinator at St.
Francis hospital in Federal Way, Washington. My job
responsibilities include the management of our pre-admit
clinic, the surgical/procedure admit area, phase I
of the main OR, and phase I and II/extended stay of
our day surgery unit. I have maintained my CPAN status
since 1990. Along with my husband, son and daughter,
my family consists of two dogs and a Goffin’s cockatoo.
Our roots extend back to Missouri and Wisconsin. I
look forward to serving the members and the organization
of NPANA.
