Hello! I hope this update finds you well! In my last update I ended with, “I am so thankful there is no “I” in team.” While “surfing the web,” I looked up the definition of team on http://www.businessdictionary.com/defintition/team.html and it stated: “A group with a full set of complementary skills required to complete a task, job, or project. Team members operate with a high degree of interdependence, share authority and responsibility of self-management, are accountable for the collective performance, and work toward a common goal and shared rewards. A team becomes more than just a collection of people when a strong sense of mutual commitment it creates synergy, thus generating performance greater than the sum of the performance of its individual members.”
Wow! This definition reminded me so much of how our components work with our national organization to promote and educate so that we can give our best care to our patients. Do you want to join the ASPAN team? ASPAN leaders are needed to continue to stretch the boundaries of our organization! Your leadership skills can make this happen.
